Building our School

Oasis Academy Daventry Road will be built on the site of the former Merrywood School in Knowle. 

Visitors and staff using a car will access the academy via an entrance on Teignmouth Road and follow a one-way system exiting on Daventry Road. Students will enter the school on foot using either the Daventry Road or Teignmouth Road pedestrian entrances. 

The position of the academy is conveniently located so that most children can cycle walk, or take public transport to school. Bus routes no 90, 91 and 92 serve Knowle, Filwood, Totterdown, and the City Centre. The academy will have bike storage available for students cycling to school. 

Oasis Academy Daventry Road will have state-of-the-art facilities, including sports pitches, a multi-use games area, drama studio, sports hall, a separate activity studio, a library and an SEN therapy space. A shared community use agreement is in place giving local sports teams access to pitches when not being used by the academy to deliver its sports provision.
